Players who climb high into the choir area will notice two distinct gaps in the bronze bell display. Solving this puzzle requires a bit of keen observation and specific spellcraft to restore the mechanism to working order.
Finding the Bell Tower Puzzle Location
To reach the puzzle room, fast travel to the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame located inside the castle. Head up the nearby staircases until you reach the Music Classroom where the frog choir performs. Continuing up the wooden stairs behind the classroom brings you directly into the bell chamber where the empty slots are visible.
Required Spells and Missing Bell Locations
While basic utility spells help navigate the area, acquiring Wingardium Leviosa makes moving heavy objects significantly easier. You can reveal the missing objects by casting Revelio, which highlights both brass bells in a bright blue glow nearby. The first bell sits on a landing further down the stairwell, while the second bell rests higher up near the rafters.
How to Solve the Bell Tower Puzzle
Levitate the lower bell first and carefully guide it back toward the primary display. This smaller bell fits directly into the empty slot on the bottom row. Next, ascend the stairs to lift the larger bell down from the upper rafters and position it in the top row's gap. Once both pieces snap securely into place, the entire chime array will automatically ring out to signify completion.
Rewards for Completing the Bell Tower Quest
Restoring the chime mechanism directly advances the side quest titled All's Well That Ends Bell given by Evangeline Bardsley. Returning to the quest giver rewards players with experience points and a unique Conjuration Spellcraft for their Room of Requirement. Additionally, climbing past the repaired mechanism allows access to the very top balcony, where players can discover a legendary chest and a magical toad statue that teleports them to extra loot.
